Our Strategy
Nitec has major competencies in the development and commercialization of innovative medicines for the treatment of chronic inflammatory and pain-related diseases, and is focused on building a strong product portfolio within these fields. The Company will also develop its pipeline through the selective acquisition of highly-promising novel compounds addressing major indications within its chosen fields. At the same time, Nitec will out-license marketing rights to successful late stage compounds in certain countries. The Company will retain marketing rights on occasion in countries where it can market or co-promote the product effectively through a small specialized sales force.
In particular, Nitec’s strategy includes the following key elements:
- to launch Lodotra™ for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in Europe once approval has been given,
- to complete a second pivotal phase 3 trial of Lodotra™ in RA for US regulatory approval,
- to complete phase 2 trial for the treatment of severe asthma,
- to expand the Lodotra™ label to include polymyalgia rheumatica,
- to advance the clinical development of TruNoc and
- to enter into additional development and commercialization partnerships to create a broad pipeline of therapeutics for chronic inflammation and pain-related diseases.
